Delhi Capitals have suffered a major setback. The team’s legendary spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has withdrawn his name from IPL 2021. As per a tweet from Ashwin, many of his family members are corona infected and so he has decided to take a break from the IPL to be with the family in such difficult times.

On Sunday his team, Delhi Capitals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in a low-scoring thriller Super Over. Both teams scored 159 runs in 20 overs. After which the victory was decided in super over.
Ashwin shared this information through Twitter
Ashwin tweeted and wrote that “I would be taking a break from this years IPL from tomorrow. My family and extended family are putting up a fight against #COVID19 and I want to support them during these tough times. I expect to return to play if things go in the right direction. Thank you @DelhiCapitals”
