Radha Yadav caught saying “Ben Stokes” in Women’s T20 Challenge 2020 which is currently underway in Sharjah, with three teams namely the Trailblazers, the Supernovas, and Velocity fighting for the prestigious title. The matches have been intense in this competition so far. The previous game between the Trailblazers and the Supernovas went down to the wire, with the Supernovas prevailing in a close encounter.

Smriti Mandhana’s team Trailblazers had secured their berth in the final by routing Velocity in their season opener. Meanwhile, the Supernovas had lost to Velocity and the two-time defending champions needed to win against Trailblazers to keep themselves alive in the competition.

The match was a very close encounter, where the Supernovas had to defend 10 runs against the Trailblazers. Radha Yadav bowled the last over of the match. The equation came down to 4 runs off 2 balls with Harleen Deol on strike. The result could have gone either way, but Yadav scalped the wicket of Deol to turn the momentum in her team’s favor.

Since the emotions were quite high in this contest, Yadav was even caught swearing after taking the wicket. She used the popular ‘Ben Stokes’ word which the Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has made famous all over the world. Even Stokes has commented twice about that fact. Here’s what he said about it in his recent interview.

Ben Stokes talks about his favorite Hindi word

His Rajasthan Royals teammate Jofra Archer asked him “What is your favourite Hindi word? Not sure you can say that.” to which Stokes replied – Yeah, No I cannot, I cannot. My name has been turned into a Hindi word.”

The Women’s T20 Challenge 2020 final will happen tonight at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Once again, the Trailblazers will challenge the Supernovas in this game. It will be interesting to see who prevails there.
