Worldwide lockdown due to coronavirus has led to postponement or cancellation of all the sporting events. Indian Premier League’s 13th season was going to start from 29th March, but it is now postponed for an indefinite period by BCCI.

During this time cricketers are having live chat sessions over social media and interacting with fans and entertaining them with some old stories. On Saturday, Suresh Raina and former Indian left-handed pacer Irfan Pathan had a live session on Instagram.

Irfan Pathan reveals, Aussies used to stay away from Harbhajan Singh

During that, Irfan Pathan and Suresh Raina tell how the Australian players used to fear from the former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh. Firstly Irfan Pathan commented on the impact of Harbhajan Singh.

“Bhajju paa was one of the legends of the game, name me a better offspinner than him in world cricket, communication should’ve been better with him too. He’s a legend, played 100 test matches,”

After that Suresh Raina reveals that Australian players used to fear from Harbhajan Singh. He says

“He’s (Harbhajan) a fighter, won us matches in Australia. Australians always used to say stay away from Harbhajan Singh,”

On this Irfan Pathan also added this, “They used to hold their ears upon hearing Harbhajan Singh’s name,” 

Harbhajan Singh has been away from the Indian team since last he represented men in blues in 2016. He has played 103 tests matches and with 417 test wickets, he is currently the highest wicket-taker among the current active Indian bowlers.

Talking about the performance of Harbhajan Singh vs Australia he has taken 95 wickets with an average of 29.95 in 18 test matches. Harbhajan Singh is the first Indian cricketer to take a Test hat-trick. Harbhajan Singh vs Australia back in 2001 took the first test hat-trick for India at Eden Garden.

He has also been part of a two-time world cup winning team. He was part of the team both times when India won the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 World Cup under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.
