Dale Steyn, who returned to RCB after a 9-year-gap in IPL 2019 as a replacement player, played only 2 matches for the Virat Kohli-led franchise before he was ruled out with an injury. However, Steyn will be playing for RCB in IPL 2020 after he was bought by the franchise in the recently-concluded IPL Auction held in Kolkata.

By doing so, he becomes the oldest player of Royal Challengers Bangalore for IPL 2020 with 36 years. The Bengaluru-based franchise was able to buy the South Africa pacer at his base price of Rs 2 crore after he went unsold in the initial round of the auction.

The fearsome bowler is in his mid-thirties and is perhaps in the twilight of his career. Steyn, who has played 92 matches in the IPL, is just 4 away from reaching the landmark of 100 wickets in the much-followed T20 league.

Youngest – Devdutt Padikal

The 19-year old youngster is one of the exciting players to watch out for in the upcoming edition of the tournament. He is in terrific form and would like to carry it to the Indian Premier League under the captaincy of Virat Kohli.

The young southpaw is appreciated for his accomplishments in the Karnataka Premier League and Cooch Behar Trophy 2018 and will be excited to make his IPL debut this year.
