Vaughan stated that Pandya and Pollard were phenomenal for the Rohit Sharma-led franchise in the slog overs. Their big hits powered the Mumbai Indians to grand totals. Speaking of Quinton de Kock, he added that the South African wicket-keeper batsman made a gigantic impact in the powerplay overs.

Further, he talked about Suryakumar Yadav and continued:

“My standout player from IPL 2020 is Surya Kumar Yadav. He can bat in all the situations. He plays quick bowling well and the best player of spin that I’ve seen for a long time. It doesn’t matter whether you are left-arm spinner of right-armer or even a mystery spinner, Surya will find a way to score boundaries.”

Michael Vaughan praises KL Rahul for his performance in IPL 2020

KL Rahul won the Orange Cap award for scoring 670 runs in IPL 2020. He became the first Indian batsman from the Kings XI Punjab team to win this award. Michael Vaughan was impressed with his batting performances as he began his list with the Karnataka-based batsman:

“I’m starting with KL Rahul. He’s had a great time in the series.”

It is surprising to note that Michael Vaughan did not select any batsman from the Rajasthan Royals, the Kolkata Knight Riders, the Chennai Super Kings, the Royal Challengers Bangalore, the Sunrisers Hyderabad, and the Delhi Capitals
