South Africa vs England, 2020: South Africa team is going through the transition period since their World Cup 2019 exit and lost the T20 series to the England team easily. There were times when the South Africa team was a force to reckon with. But the current team hardly having any match-winner to be torch-bearer for the team.

In all the three T20Is England team dominated and whitewashed South Africa with 3-0 in their own backyard. Having said, let us take a look at who three players who flopped in this T20I series vs England

1) Quinton De Kock

If there is one player on whom the South Africa team can rely while batting it is definitely Quinton De Kock and his performance matters the most in a team of youngsters. Quinton De Kock had a good IPL with the bat for Mumbai Indians. But in the T20I series vs England, he failed to give some impact.

As an opener, Quinton De Kock for his team is the main crucial batsman for South Africa but he failed to score big runs. Quinton De Kock scored just 77 runs with an average of 25.67 in the 3 matches he played.

2) Kagiso Rabada

Probably the big reason the home team has lost the series way early. From the first game to the second South Africa

bowling has been complete average not up to the standards they have set and abilities they have with the likes of Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, and Anrich Nortje

Rabada got just one wicket in this series and failed very badly. It was quite shocking to see the best frontline bowler of South Africa were ineffective in their own territory. South Africa has the most complete fast bowling in the world right now. While in the 3rd T-20l game Rabada was given rest (another surprise to play without the match-winner).

3) Anrich Nortje

After having a good IPL season with Delhi Capitals many expectations were from Anrich Nortje. But just like Kagiso Rabada he also failed to show some impact.

Anrich Nortje just took 1 wicket while representing in 2 T20Is. He was not able to bowl at the tight line and lengths he was too expensive in his spells.

What’s Next?

South Africa team has to look after what went wrong in the three T-20l games for them and expect the bowlers to find the form before the start of the ODI series to make the battle more interesting to watch rather than being one-sided like the T20Is.
