The former middle-order batsman and captain of England Michael Vaughan say the impact of modern-day great “Virat Kohli” in his family is very much as his son likes to watch him bat with the kind of consistency he has shown in recent years. Although, once Virat Kohli gets out, his interest is not the same as watching the game.

Michael Vaughan also mentions that Virat Kohli is in the best form of his career. His ability and hunger to score in every match define his batting abilities and mindset. Not just about the runs he has scored but in recent times Virat Kohli’s shot playing abilities have been phenomenal from the early days of his career.

Michael Vaughan on Virat Kohli said,

“My little boy is a little player and all he does is, always says to me, when Virat comes out to bat, just wake me up. As soon as Virat goes out getting caught at midwicket, he goes back inside to do something else.

He’s that powerful with the kids. When you see shots like that fly off the middle of the bat without any real effort or doesn’t seem like any much effort going into the stroke – it’s just flying into the stands. He’s a special player, he’s an absolute genius,” Michael Vaughan added.

Without Virat Kohli, there will be tough times for team India to survive in the test series. When Virat Kohli has scored runs the team’s ratio of winning the games is high. However, there are batsmen who can replace Virat Kohli in the test series but winning the series without a player like Virat Kohli will be tough for the Indian team. On this Michael Vaughan added,

“I worry about those three Tests that India have without him. I don’t see India being able to win those Tests without the Virat Kohli factor. He is that important for that Test team. His 100s will come. Once he gets one, probably he would get 3-or-4 together, he’s that good.”

Currently, Team India has already lost the ODI series by 2-0 with one match to go on Wednesday. After this India will play 3 T20I series and 4 match test series on this tour.
