ECB shares a video of Virat Kohli getting dismissed by Adil Rashid on India’s tour of England in 2018.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Twitter shared an old video of Indian captain Virat Kohli being out on the 2018 England tour. In this, Virat Kohli was clean bowled by spinner Adil Rashid. The surprise of such a dismissal was clearly visible on the face of Virat Kohli.

The ECB wrote the caption with this video and asked the Indian captain the questi on –

Adil Rashid dismissed Kohli 2 times in 2018

Virat Kohli was playing for 71 in that match and he was close to his 36th century. But this ball of Adil Rashid kept him from scoring a century.

Coincidentally, Virat Kohli was dismissed by the spinners only in all three matches in that ODI series. In the first and third ODIs, Rashid took his wicket and in second match right arm off-spinner Moeen Ali took his wicket.

In this series, Virat Kohli scored 191 runs in 3 matches and he was also the leading run-scorer for India. Team India won the first match of the series but lost the next matches and as a result, India lost the series by 2-1.

Indian captain would have been leading the Royal Challengers Banglore in IPL but due to coronavirus IPL has been postponed for an indefinite period. All the sports events have been cancelled or either postponed due to the worldwide lockdown because of coronavirus.
