Under Gautam Gambhir’s captaincy, Kolkata Knight Riders emerged victorious twice in the Indian Premier League in 2012 and 2014. They have remained a highly accomplished team in the tournament throughout the years, ranking among the top three teams with the highest number of fours in IPL history. KKR players have collectively smashed 3017 fours in 223 IPL matches, spanning from 2008 to 2022.
