Pakistan’s great bowler Saqlain Mushtaq suggested England spin bowlers Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid consider Indian captain Virat Kohli like the entire Indian team, saying that Indian captain Virat Kohli alone equals to eleven players.
Former Pakistani cricketer Saqlain was associated with the England team as a spin consultant until the World Cup last year. England’s spin twin Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid have dismissed Indian captain Virat Kohli 6 times each.
43-year-old Saqlain during an Instagram live with Nikhil Naz, said,
“Yeh1 nahin, yeh hai 11 (virat is not 1, he is equal to 11 players). I would just tell them Virat’s wicket is like bowling out the entire Indian team. He is like XI players in one, you have to see him like that,”
“As a bowler, you have to be clear in your mind. Yes, you have a world-class player who is at the top of his game and does not face any issue against any type of spinner, be it left-arm, offie, or a leggie.”
Saqlain Mushtaq talking about Virat Kohli continued, “But I would tell them the pressure is more on him not you, as the whole world is watching him. You have to be clear in your mind”
Virat Kohli on that tour England was leading run-scorer in Test series. Virat Kohli with an average of 59.30 scored 593 runs in 5 matches test series. He also scored 2 test hundred on that tour.
In 3 matches ODI Series Virat Kohli was leading run-scorer for India. He scored 191 runs with 2 fifties.
