Former India batsman Mohammad Azharuddin last appeared on the cricket ground 20 years ago. Mohammad Azharuddin is considered to be one of the most successful captains of India along with the finest batsman. However, after his name appeared in the Match Fixing Scandal in 2000, he was banned for life and his cricketing career came to a standstill.

Since then, Azharuddin has often stayed away from cricket. He was never seen on the cricket field except for a few unofficial matches. However, recently he has once again been seen holding the bat in his hand in the old fashion.

Azhar recently posted a video of himself on social media in which he is seen at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad. During this time he held the bat in his hand.

In this video, Azhar was seen playing some attractive shots with his magic wrist. During this, he took flicks, cover drives, backfoot punch, and shots on the leg side in his old style.

With this video, he wrote,

“Knock knock … timing it like old times.”

 

Azharuddin is counted among the most successful captains of India. He captained the Indian team in 174 ODIs and 47 Test matches. In which he won 90 ODIs and 14 Test matches. He has played 99 test matches and scored 6215 runs with an average of 45. In 308 ODI matches, he has 9378 runs on his name.
