West Indian all-rounder, Sunil Narine, took part in an interview recently where he spoke about his relationship with the backroom staff and owners of Kolkata Knight Riders. Narine is one of the very few players in IPL history who have never changed their team.

IPL has helped Narine earn a living after the West Indies selectors did not use him properly in the international arena. Thus, the off-spinner called India as his second home and he mentioned that he would love to be a part of any team that KKR owners own.

India is like my second home: Sunil Narine

During a recent video session with the franchise, the Trinidadian told:

“Any tournament (where) KKR is carrying a team in, I would love to be a part of it. The money does not matter. Once they are there, I would love to be a part of that team. The way they welcome you in India, with arms wide open it’s like they already know you as a human being – what you don’t like, what you like.”

He said that he loves coming to India because unlike other countries, he does not need time to get comfortable here. Narine further praised IPL and said:

“It’s the closest thing to feeling at hope, like the CPL is the IPL. To me it’s more than a friendship, it’s like a family. I am missing the excitement of the IPL the fans, the loved ones watching you perform whether it’s 4 0 clock in the morning or 12 o clock, they are always looking forward, that’s something I am missing a lot.”
