Former Pakistani spinner, Danish Kaneria has lashed out on the former Pakistani skipper, Shahid Afridi, stating that the all-rounder ruined his international career. Kaneria, who is the only second Hindu player to turn up for Pakistan in the international arena, had played a lot of Test cricket. However, he did not receive the same number of opportunities in ODIs.
Earlier, the spin bowler had alleged that there was discrimination in the team on the basis of religion. Now, Kaneria has called out his former teammate for his shortened ODI career.

Talking to PTI from Karachi, Kaneria stated:
“He was always against me, when we were playing for the same department in domestic cricket or playing me in ODIs. If one person is always against you and you are in that situation, what other reason would think other than that (religion).”
He further made some interesting revelations and told the sources:
“I could not play more ODIs because of him and he also treated me unfairly when we used to play for the same department (in domestic cricket), he was the captain. He used to keep me out of the side and often he would do the same in ODIs without any reason.”
The spin bowler felt that Afridi every other player in the team with the exception of himself. Thus, in this manner, the former player disclosed some dark secrets of the Pakistan Cricket dressing room during this lockdown period.
