India’s legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has said that the decision to host the IPL 2020 depends on the condition of the coronavirus in the country.

Earlier, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly said that the board is eyeing the September-November window to host the T20 tournament.

In a conversation with Aaj Tak, Sachin Tendulkar on IPL 2020 said,

“It all depends on how much discipline we show as citizens. If we show good discipline and follow the guidelines properly then chances of it (IPL happening this year) will increase,”

He said, “But some people haven’t followed the rules, that problem will go on. Only because some people have decided to live life differently. If the IPL does happen this year then it will be a lot of fun..”

Tendulkar also talked about the T20 World Cup, which is to be held in Australia later this year. The ICC

has already said that it will make a decision on the T20 World Cup by next month.

Tendulkar said,

“The Australian board has to decide whether they will be able to hold the T20 World Cup or not. The decision will be tough for Cricket Australia but cricket is restarting, I cannot be more happier.”

From next month cricket is to start as West Indies to tour England fro three test matches. On this Sachin Tendulkar said,

“The England and West Indies are going to play Test cricket. Slowly but surely cricket is coming back on track so that is a good thing.”
