Rohit Sharma holds the record of the highest score in an inning of an ODI. He scored 264 runs in his destructive inning against Sri Lanka in Eden Garde, Kolkata on 13th November 2014. In this inning, he scored 264 runs in just 173 balls before he got out the last ball of the inning. He smashed 33 fours and 9 sixes in that inning.

India posted 404/5 in that match whereas the Sri Lanka team could only score 251 runs. This record of Rohit Sharma is still unbroken and it is saying that he can only break this record. Let’s see who is going to break this record and when.

2) Three Double Hundreds in ODI

The man of big scores, Rohit Sharma has three double hundred on his name in One Day International. The first double hundred cames against Australia in 2013 at Bengaluru when he scored 209 runs in 158 balls with the help of 12 fours and 16 sixes.

He scored his second and third double hundred against Sri Lanka. His second double hundred came in 2014 when he scored the highest ODI score in the cricket of 264 runs in just 173 balls at Eden Garden.

Rohit Sharma scored his third hundred also against Sri Lanka. On 13th December 2017 at Mohali, Rohit Sharma scored 208 not out as a captain and became the first player to have 3 double hundred in ODI.

Rohit Sharma holds the record of the joint-fastest hundred in T20I (With David Miller against Bangladesh) and this hundred came against Sri Lanka at Indore on 22nd December 2017. He completed his century in just 35 balls. In this inning, he scored 118 runs in just 43 balls. He hit 12 fours and 10 sixes in this inning.

Rohit’s five tons in the 2019 World Cup made him the first player to score five tons in an ODI series/tournament. He was on his best form during the World Cup 2019 when he scored 5 ODI centuries in that tournament.

Rohit Sharma scored 648 runs in World Cup 2019 with an average of 81 in 9 matches he played. He scored 122* vs South Africa, 140 vs Pakistan, 102 vs England, 104 vs Bangladesh and 103 vs Sri Lanka.
