India lost the first T20I match against Australia by 3 wickets and Australia now have a 1-0 lead in 2 match series. By this mean India can only draw the series by winning the last match which is going to be played at Bangalore on 27 February.

It was a thrilling low score match as Australia won only on the last ball of the match while chasing the target of just 127 runs.

Let’s have a look at the reason behind the India’s defeat against Australia in 1st T20I

3) Batting Failure

Team India keep loosing wickets on the regular intervals. Except KL Rahul and MS Dhoni and Kohli all other player got out for just single digit score which turned out to be one of the disaster batting failure of Team India. KL Rahul played well and scored a fifty on his comeback match. Whereas Dhoni and Kohli could only score 29 and 24 respectively.

That’s one of the reason that India couldn’t posted a big total against Aussies and lost the match.

2) MS Dhoni’s couldn’t finish

One of the reason can be said as MS Dhoni’s batting. Yes standing on this pitch also matters but in T20 games if you have played more than 30 ball then you needs to deliver for the team. MS Dhoni played 37 balls and scored only 29 runs hitting just 1 six.

This was a rare chance for MS Dhoni for having a strike rate less than 100 in T20I. But let see how he comeback in next match.

1) Umesh Yadav’s Final over

Australia needed 14 runs in the last over with Pat Cummins and Jhye Richardson on the crease. But Umesh Yadav couldn’t win the match for India.

Umesh Yadav generally leaks runs in the death overs so giving him last over was the bad decision for Virat Kohli. He should have tried Umesh Yadav in the middle over so the best bowler could have bowl in the last over.
